How
to View the MLS Listings on My Website
|
The
information below will help you get the most use out of the property
search windows that appear on my Home Page, my Today's
New Listings, and my All Current Listings page. I
have tried to create a site that is more useful and user friendly
than most of the ones available.
When you click on any of the links on these pages, a pop up window
will appear with the requested information. The list of properties
matching that search will be displayed in a Grid
with columns and rows. The top row, describing the first property
will be highlighted. At the upper, right corner of the window
you will find four tabs labeled: Map,
Grid, Detail, and Media.
The Grid format is the default
setting when the window first opens. Each property has its
own row with basic info. such as address, bedrooms, bath, square
footage, etc.
By clicking on the blue MLS number under the address of each
property, the display switches to the Detail
format. Alternately, you can just click on the Detail tab and
get the same result. In the Detail format, the window divides
into two sections. The left side displays the address and main
photo of each property in a vertical column. The right side displays
more detailed information on the selected property. To see
more of the information on the right side, you can either scroll
down using the scroll bar to the right, or click on the small
arrow at the upper left corner of the detail portion of the screen.
To view the details of a different property, just click on one
of the properties in the list on the left side of the window.
(Use the scroll bar to view properties below the bottom of the
window).
The Map tab will also divide
the screen into two sections and will display a map on the right
section with all the properties marked. By moving your cursor
over the marked property, a small window appears containing the
address and photo of the property located there. The small window
also allows you to select "More Info" or "Zoom
Here," to get further information.
The Media tab displays all
the photos for each property. You can select a property from
the column on the left side of the screen and the photos will
be displayed on the right side. Under the large photo there is
a row of thumbnail sized photos. By clicking on a small photo,
you will place it in the larger center photo. Alternately, you
can click on the right or left arrows under the large photo to
scroll through the photos for the selected property. To enlarge
a photo to completely fill a larger pop up window, just click
on the small arrow in the upper left corner of the photo side
of the window.
You can select individual listings and view just those by clicking
the little box next to the photo on the far left of the window
and then clicking the "Cart" button just above
the first listing in the column. Your window will then display
only the listings you selected. (To view all of them again, click
on the "Results" button next to the "Cart"
button.
Finally, you can also print individual or several listings.
First, select the individual listing(s) you wish to print by
clicking the little box for each listing at the far left of the
window. Click Print from any of the tabs described above.
In the new page that appears click Detail only if you want
a full page description for each listing you've selected,
or click Grid only if you want a list of the selected properties
all on one page. You can preview the material before printing
if desired. (Do not select the Map or Media choices on the print
page unless you want a full page map and full page of photos
for each selected listing).
Once you play around with the various formats available it will
become simple to manipulate the information in the way you find
most useful. If you have any questions
